One species in the Congo tropical rainforest that is endangered is the African Teak. The main reason that the African Teak is endangered is due to deforestation. The largest contributors to the deforestation dilemma are the industrial logging industries, clearing the trees for fuelwood. The population also plays a role in why this tree is endangered since the trees are getting cleared to make way for public establishments, and houses, the reason the African Teak is endangered is due to the loss of its habitat.
