After the Congo war from 1998-2003, there were many terrible affects on the environment. At least four national parks with endangered animals were harmed by minerals. Wars left many people coming from other countries as refugees, now they over-hunting meat and selling it. As well pygmies and refugees becoming poachers and killing elephants in hope of getting more money. Another problem is that farmers are now burning forest to create more farmland.
